Our collaboration with the Leon Levy Center for Biography dates back to 2007 when we were tasked with creating a logo for the then new department at the Graduate Center at CUNY.
In 2024, sixteen years later, we were asked to revisit it which was a very welcomed task that we approached with great joy.
The 2024 logo
The client had seen a beautiful stamp and shared that as inspiration for the new rendition of the logo. We took the opportunity to liberate the main graphic from the organization's full name, to increase the size but also the options for expanding on the design as we go forward.
Custom social icons
Because most social platforms have a circle to fill, and it can become quite awkward to try and fit a logo nicely in there, I often design a custom social icon for my clients. It looks visually related to the logo.
The 2007 logo
A beautiful arrangement of letters using American Typewriter. Over the years as digital media developed, the red small type became increasingly hard to deal with in layout.
