Indigenous identity

I create thoughtful custom logos, or restore and bring existing ones into the future.
Much is asked of a logo today. No longer can a logo be a single design in one file format. Multiple logo variations and file formats are needed in order to adapt to printed matter, online use and social media.
Indigenous designs, such as icons and seals, are full of meaning and history. Yet sometimes the file format has not moved with the times and cannot fulfill the above modern requirements of a logo. I take these designs and carefully re-draw them, creating a scalable master file in high resolution vector format. This is a process that requires a good eye and artistic talent, as the original often can be of poor quality and difficult to interpret.
Along with the main logo, a custom icon is created to be used specifically for social media. Because social media uses icons in rather small sizes, complex logos don't ‘read’ well in this environment. Thanks to being accompanied by a written-out social media account name (your business name for example), a custom icon expands and adapts the brand.
