One idea. Endless typographic interpretations.
The poster was released in 2005 as a signed, numbered edition of 100 archival silk-screen prints and has since been reinterpreted in different typefaces, each revealing a new visual character while preserving the original concept.
The work also became the foundation for Type Is Art, an interactive public art project that invited people around the world to create their own compositions from the building blocks of typography.
Nearly three decades after its creation, Parts of a Character continues to evolve, with new typographic editions and a renewed connection to Type Is Art as the project prepares for its next chapter.
The poster is silk-screened on archival stock. Size 18 x 30 inches. All prints are signed by the artist Please inquire to purchase.
